Welcome to World Relief Jacksonville!

Tucked away, in an old warehouse, behind a RaceTrac gas station off University Blvd. West is World Relief Jacksonville. It is here we welcome to Jacksonville the many faces from different parts of the world who have been persecuted by their own people for ethnic, religious or political reasons. We assist the REFUGEE who has been forced to leave everything he/she knows and start life over again. A refugee comes here legally and is expected to acclimate to American culture and find a job within 3 to 6 months.

Just as we are tucked away in the warehouse we are relatively unknown to the many Christians in Jacksonville who are committed to Missions and would find it a privilege to help these new community members adjust to the surmounting challenges of being in a new place while learning a new language and living up to very different expectations.   This is a MISSION opportunity right at your doorstep.

Refugees from Burma, Burundi (as well as other Parts of Africa), and Iraq need your help.

As we receive over 300 refugees to World Relief Jacksonville this year, our mission is to share the love of Christ, through our actions, with every refugee we encounter. Our vision is to link newly arriving refugees with community volunteers and churches who will assist them in the process of adjusting to their new life in America.

World Relief helps refugees by providing for their initial housing needs, offering English as a second language classes and connecting them to government services. We also ensure they receive the initial medical care required and provide orientation to American culture.
